Facebook Video Downloader
Paste a link to a supported public Facebook video or Reel to see the files that are actually available.
Only download videos you own or have permission to save.
VidTray reads publicly available pages. It does not sign in, does not ask for your password and cannot open content that Facebook keeps private.
What links work
This tool reads one public video at a time. These are the shapes that have been tested against Facebook.
Public videos
A video’s own page, whether you got there from a profile, a page or your feed.
Reels
Public Reels, including the mobile link Facebook gives you when you share one.
What does not work
Private videos, videos in closed groups, and anything Facebook asks you to sign in for. Nothing here bypasses a login.
How it works
- 1Copy the link
Open the video on Facebook and copy the address, or use Share → Copy link.
- 2Paste it above
Put it in the link box and choose Get video.
- 3Pick a file
We list the files the source offers. Choose one and it downloads.
Common questions
Which Facebook links can this tool read?
A public video’s own page and public Reels. If you can watch the video in a browser where you are signed out, this tool should be able to read it. Videos that Facebook asks you to sign in for are not readable, and VidTray will tell you that plainly rather than failing silently.

Do the downloads have sound?
Yes. Every file the tool offers is one complete file that already contains both the picture and the sound — the Audio column says Included for all of them. Where Facebook also publishes a higher resolution as separate picture and sound streams, we say so instead of offering you a silent file.
Why is the highest quality sometimes missing?
Facebook publishes some resolutions only as two separate streams that have to be joined together. This tool does not join streams, so those resolutions are not offered. When that happens, the page says which resolution is affected so the list is not misleading.
Can I download a private video or one from a group?
No. The tool never signs in, never asks for your password and cannot use your account. If Facebook says a video is only available to signed-in users, that is the end of it — and the page will tell you exactly that.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Paste a link, choose a file, and the download starts. VidTray sets one session cookie so a result you just requested stays yours while you look at it; it carries no personal information and is not used for advertising.
A download link stopped working. What now?
The download addresses Facebook gives out are signed and expire after a few days. Choose Check again on the result and the tool will fetch fresh ones. If that fails too, paste the original link again.
Is it allowed to download Facebook videos?
That depends on the video. Download only what you own or have permission to save. VidTray is a reader for publicly available pages and does not grant you any rights over the content.
